The 1962 New York Mets finished their inaugural season with a 40-120 record, a .250 winning percentage. The 2010 Baltimore Orioles are trying not to equal their record.

After 86 games:

1962 Mets 24-62 .279

On July 15, 1962,  the Mets beat the Giants, 5-3, in the first game of a doubleheader. Jay Hook (7-9) went the distance to pick up the win.

2010 Orioles 27-59 .314

On July 9, 2010,  the Orioles beat the Texas Rangers, 7-6, as Corey Patterson hit a game-tying grand slam with two outs in the 9th and Jake Fox homered leading off the 10th. Jason Berken (2-1) picked up the win.

The Orioles lead by three games

The last time the Orioles finished over .500 was in 1997. The last time the Orioles lost 100 games was in 1988.
