As I’ve been looking at the changing face of baseball statistical accomplishments, I wanted to see if there has been a recent change in the number of .300 batters. One point of interest is that there were 26 .300 hitters in both 2011 and 2012.
.300 batters from 1988-2012
All the data reflects batters who would have qualified for the batting crown.

Over the last 25 seasons, there have been 335 different batters who have had at least one season over .300.
There have been:
- 113 who have done it at least three times
- 86 who have done at least four times
- 57 who have done it at least five times
- 42 who have done it at least six times
- 30 at least seven times
- 22 at least eight times
- 14 who who have done it at least nine times
