Nine to Know: A quick look at the standings

  1. The Rangers, Cardinals and the Red Sox have the best record in the majors at 20-11 (.645).

  2. The Indians are the only .500 team in baseball (14-14).

  3. The Astros are the only team in baseball not in double-digits in wins. At 8-24, the Astros are trailing the 32-game record of the 1962 NY Mets who were 12-20 at the the 32 game mark.

  4. The Reds at 12-4 have baseball’s best home record.

  5. The Cards at 13-6 have baseball’s best road record.

  6. The Angels 11-20 start has matched their worst in franchise history.

  7. The Pirates, at 12-6, have the best record in baseball against teams .500 or better.

  8. The Rockies, at 14-4, have the best record in baseball against teams under .500.

  9. The Diamondbacks are 6-0 in extra-inning games, yet only 7-6 in one-run games.
