BLOWN SAVE OF THE NIGHT

by Bill Chuck on July 6, 2013

There was just one blown save in baseball last night, but even there were multiple chances are really good that Baltimore closer Jim Johnson would have taken home honors for the Blown Save of the Night.

Johnson entered the game with the Orioles leading 2-1 at Yankee Stadium and before he was close to being done he walked in the tying run and then a loowed a walkoff bases filled single to Vernon Wells against the drawn in infield with just one down.

Just when the Universe thought it was over, the Yankees have now won five straight.
