Oh-fer six

by Bill Chuck on July 11, 2013

Last night, Hanley Ramirez and A.J. Ellis hit back-to-back homers in the 14th inning to enable the Los Angeles Dodgers to beat first-place Arizona, 7-5, move to the .500 mark for the first time since April 30 when they were 13-13, and move to just 1.5 games out of first place.

The Dodgers were 12 games under .500 and 9.5 games out of first on June 22.

Making the night even more miserable for the Diamondbacks was Cody Ross, Gerardo Parra and Cliff Pennington all going 0-for-6.

There have been 52 occasions this season in which a player has gone at least 0-for-6 and five of them occurred last night.
