The Pettitte Report

by Bill Chuck on July 8, 2013

Saturday, Andy Pettitte and the Yankees defeated the Orioles, 5-4. It was his sixth win of the season and the 251st win of his career.

Despite the fact that wins by pitchers are now being minimized as a reflection of their ability, it still should be noted that only 45 pitchers in baseball history  (since 1876) have won as many games as Pettitte.
