Allen Craig hit his first career grand slam as the Cardinals came back to defeat the Cincinnati Reds, 8-6. It was Craig’s 50th career homer. He had three hits in the game including a double.

Matt Holliday helped with a three-run homer for St. Louis who moved into sole possession of first place in the NL Central for the first time since July 29.
