In the Rangers first game without Nelson Cruz, Adrian Beltre homered as Texas beat the Angels, 5-2.

Beltre now has 24 homers on the season and has had 11 seasons of 20+ homers including a personal high of 48 in 2004. He had his second best season last year with 36.

With the homer, Beltre passed Ralph Kiner and tied Gil Hodges for 72nd place on the all-time home run list, with 370.
