The Miguel Cabrera Report

by Bill Chuck on August 8, 2013

It was another rough game for Terry Francona and his Cleveland Indians as their rally fell shy and they fell to the Tigers, 6-5 in 14 innings.

Detroit has won the first three games of this four-game series and have now won 11 straight, their longest streak since winning 12 in a row in 2011.

With two down in the 8th and Detroit trailing 3-2, Miguel Cabrera hit a Danny Salazar pitch over the centerfield wall for his 33rd homer a two-run shot that more than compensated for the three previous Miggy at bats in which he whiffed each time.

With that homer, Cabrera tied Carlos Beltran, Luis Gonzalez and Lee May for 83rd place on the all-time home run list, with 354.
