The Miguel Cabrera Report

by Bill Chuck on August 26, 2013

The Tigers did what they were supposed to do this weekend: they swept the Mets.

They can basically do so much because their third baseman, Miguel Cabrera, who is playing hurt in many, many ways, went 7-for-13 (.538) in the series with two homers and five RBI. He had a .571 OBP and slugged 1.000.

  • With his first homer, Miggy passed Joe DiMaggio and tied Todd Helton for 77th place on the all time HR list, with 362.
  • With his second homer,  Cabrera passed Todd Helton and moved into 76th place on the all time HR list, with 363.
