The Mike Trout Birthday Report

by Bill Chuck on August 8, 2013

The Angels lost again last night and now have to win their remaining 49 games to finish with 100 wins.

It certainly is not Mike Trout‘s fault as in the Halos loss to the Ranger last night, Trout celebrated his birthday by joining this season’s 20-homer club.

According to our friends at Elias, Trout is the first Angels player in franchise history to hit a home run on his birthday in consecutive years and is the youngest player in MLB history to hit a home run on his birthday in consecutive years. The only other player to homer on his birthday twice by his 22nd birthday was Buddy Lewis in 1936 and 1938. Trout is the first player in modern baseball history to homer on his 21st and 22nd birthday.

Trout became the seventh player to homer on his birthday this season
