The 2014 Opening Day Weather Report

by Bill Chuck on September 11, 2013

Obviously in this time of global warming it is even more difficult to predict what the weather will be at any time.

But just for the fun of it I thought I would take a look at what the weather might be at the various 2014 Opening Day venues based on what the weather was at that locale last year.

Last year’s high temps

The first opener is March 22-23, 2014

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks open in Sydney, Australia for a two-game set. On March 22, 2013 it was 92 degrees. Sounds like a g’day for baseball.

  • Cubs at Pirates – 48 degrees in Pittsburgh on March 31, 2013

  • Rockies at Marlins – it’s indoors, so we don’t care
