The Adrian Beltre Report

by Bill Chuck on September 25, 2013

The reeling Rangers have ben looking like some other Texans at the Alamo, this month. But thank goodness for the Astros.

These days you either want to play the Hapless Astros or the Ashen Hose. The Indians got the White Sox and the Rangers got the ‘Stros.

Adrian Beltre homered for the first time at home in more than a month and his homer led Texas to a 3-2 victory over Houston who lost their 11th straight game.

Beltre’s 29th homer was his league leading 193rd hit of the season. He hadn’t homered since Aug. 28 at Seattle and hadn’t gone long at home since Aug. 20, also against the Astros.

With that homer, Beltre passed Indians hero Rocky Colavito to move into 71st place on the all-time HR list, with 375.
