Playing extra innings for the second night in a row, the St. Louis Cardinals picked up a critical 10-inning, 7-6, win over Milwaukee on a sac fly by Carlos Beltran, to stay in the NL Central lead.

Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez hit his 11th homer of the season in the loss and passed Ellis Burks for 87th place on the all time home run list, with 353.
