Joey Votto walked while the Pittsburgh Pirates homered. The Pirates hit six homers to defeat the Cincinnati Reds, 8-3. As a result of the win, Pittsburgh will host the Reds on Tuesday night in the Pirates’ first playoff appearance in 21 years.

With three more walks yesterday, Votto set a Reds record for most walks in a season.
