The New York Mets Report

by Bill Chuck on September 15, 2013

The Mets picked up a 3-1 win as Daisuke Matsuzaka earned his first big league win since Aug. 27, 2012, of course by the time he earned his cricket-chirping win, the Mets had already lost the first game of the twin bill against the Marlins (How’d you like to sit through that? At least the media was paid to be there.), 3-0.

New York is now 4-10 in September and 7-11 this season against the Marlins, who have the NL’s worst record at 55-93.

With this loss, the Mets locked up their fifth straight losing season since Citi Field opened.
