The St. Louis Cardinals Report

by Bill Chuck on September 28, 2013

It may seem that the Cardinals win the NL Central every season but that is just an illusion because the organization is consistently excellent making it to the postseason 11 times in the past 18 seasons.

With last night’s 6-0 win over the team that everybody loves to celebrate against, the Chicago Cubs, the Cardinals clinched the NL Central title for the first time since 2009. The Cubs watched an opponent clinch for the third time this week with the Braves wrapped up the NL East on Sunday at Wrigley Field, and the Pirates locking up a playoff spot on the North Side the following day.

After the final out, Cardinals players put on T-shirts that read: “We Own The Central.”
