Depite an amazing one game doubleheader win in which the Rays defeated the Orioles, 5-4, in 18 innings, the Rays were mathematically eliminated from winning the division title.

The game took 6:54, a record for both franchises and ended on a David DeJesus 18th inning one-out walkoff single. The Rays used 11 pitchers, the Orioles 10 to set a record for most pitchers used in a game.
