The Texas Rangers Report

by Bill Chuck on September 18, 2013

It took one pitch for the Texas Rangers to start breathing again.

Ian Kinsler took the Rays’ Jeremy Hellickson‘s first pitch deep for a home run enabling the Rangers to take the lead in a game for the first time in more than a week, as the Rangers went on to a “Whew!” victory over the Tampa Bay Rays 7-1, breaking a seven-game losing streak and just their fourth win in 17 games.

Kinsler’s 12th home run broke a streak of seven homerless games for the Rangers, their longest in 23 years
