The Todd Helton Report

by Bill Chuck on September 5, 2013

Todd Helton gives me a moment to write about the “meaningless” win stat as the Rockies Jorge De La Rosa won his sixth consecutive decision, as the Colorado Rockies ended the Dodgers’ six-game winning streak, 7-5.

De La Rosa (16-6) both matched his career high for wins in a season and tied Washington’s Jordan Zimmermann for most wins in the National League. No Rockies pitcher has ever led the league in wins.

De La Rosa was helped by a Todd Helton homer, his 12th of the season and the 366th of his career which ties him with Lance Berkman for 75th place on the all time home run list.
