ALCS2013AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (FOX)

Game 1: Detroit Tigers 1 Boston Red Sox 0

Sunday, October 13 – GAME 2 at Fenway Park, Boston, MA, 8:00 PM

Tigers (Max Scherzer) at Red Sox (Clay Buchholz)

Tigers lead the best of seven series 1-0 – Home field advantage: Detroit

Sadly this series continues on Fox.

The coverage last night was embarrassingly weak with very little historical context, very few insights from Tim McCarver, very little engagement from Joe Buck (except when he was talking about football), way too few Ken Rosenthal moments,  and so many shots of Fenway fans that it created the impression that Homeland Security was directing the telecast to try to identify the individual(s) who stole the Red Sox bats.

Get in the game guys or hand it over to the TBS crew of Orsillo, Eckersley, Martinez and whomever that fourth person was and give baseball fans a telecast that they deserve.
