The Tampa Bay Rays Report

by Bill Chuck on October 1, 2013

The Tampa Bay Rays are heading to the postseason again and they can thank their ace, David Price, and their team leader, Evan Longoria.

Price pitched his fourth complete game this season inning his 10th game of the year; Price missed a chunk of time on the DL. Longoria hit a two-run homer among his three hits, giving him 32 on the season, as the Rays beat the Texas Rangers, 5-2, in game 163 for each club.

With the victory, the Rays clinched a postseason berth and the Rangers once again head home early.
